As a result of the 'Rugby Landscape' conference held in September 2009, the higher levels of England Rugby have been re-shaped, and together with the agreement between the RFU and Premiership Rugby Ltd., have established a format for the future of the top four levels of the professional and semi-professional game. Worthing RFC, who play in National Division Two South are the only Sussex representatives at this level.
