Sussex Schools Rugby was founded in 1953, and is affiliated to the Sussex Rugby Union

Representatives from the Sussex Schools Union sit on the County Playing Committee and are partners in the Youth Management Group.

Youth Rugby is played at 128 Sussex Schools and in 23 Sussex Clubs. Sussex RFU together with the RFU Development Officer and four Community Rugby Coaches, provide coaching and development for all levels of ability.

Sussex supplies a steady stream of Youth Internationals, some of whom go on to full International Caps.
