The U12 Waterfall competition will be played over 2 Phases during the season.
- Each Phase will consist of 3-4 games played in Pools of 4-5 teams.
- At the end of Phase 1 teams will progress in to the next Phase.
- Team placement in Pools for Phase 2 will be based on preceding Pool game results.
- A new fixture draw is made ahead of Phase 2.
If a club enters multiple teams they cannot play in the same Pool (5 ‘named players’ will be ineligible to represent the lower placed team).
Game Summary
- KO time =11:00
- 20 minutes each way
- No extra time
- Sin bin = 4 minutes
- 12 aside on pitch
- Squad of 16 players
Playing Summary
- Max pitch 43m x 60m
- 5 player scrum, no pushing, hookers only contest the ball
- No line-out or kick for goal
- Hand off below the shoulder allowed
- Can pass or run from a maul or ruck
Results should be sent to the organiser by both teams within 24 hours of each game by email (or text msg).
Match Cards should be sent to the organiser by both teams within 72 hours of each game by email (or text msg).
Fixture weekends have been set by the RFU in the Age Grade Playing Calendar.
KO time is set at 11:00 by default - this can be varied by advance agreement (72hrs) with opposition contact and the competition organiser.
Referees are to be appointed by the Home club - should be a qualified referee / not a coach of that team.
Fixtures & Results
The Waterfall fixtures and results for each Phase will be published on this website. No Tables will be published.
The Waterfall results will be used to place teams in the 2018-19 U13 Waterfall competition.
